I don't really frequent this website much anymore. xD

But I thought I should probably let everyone know this...

I've dropped out of TAFE because I found the course too competitive, demanding and stressful, not to mention it wasn't very challenging in regards to creativity. Yes, I realise in my last entry I claimed to love every class, but this was before I was staying up till 2-3 AM perfecting my tracings of typefaces, or colouring in then being told the next day to redo it because I went outside the lines by less than half a millimetre. I'm hoping to formally withdraw this week.

I was wondering if I should try Design at university, but I decided against it because I didn't want it to turn out like my TAFE course.

So I applied for university, for an Arts degree to be more specific. Why Arts? I'm not quite sure why. (For the record this is not Visual Arts, but Social Science / Cultural Arts). I got the news last Thursday (or Friday, can't remember) I had been offered a place

I start at the end of July and I'll be majoring in Japanese and minoring in International/Cultural Studies.

How can someone go from Visual Arts to Cultural Arts?

I'm not entirely sure. I'm still trying to come to terms with it. My family is as well. But I think the change will be good.

It means I won't have much time for art. I'm going to do a few Art electives at university but that's as far as it will probably go. I might do some in my free time, who knows. I know this hasn't been updated in forever, but I guess this entry is just to let you know it probably won't be updated much in future. I enjoyed my time doing Art at school but I realised I had to move on from it because it made me unhappy when I studied it at TAFE
